I kept reaching for the menu bar to change volume and brightness while my trackpad had four edges doing nothing, so I built Brink. Try the right edge first. I'd love to hear where the gesture detection feels off, especially palm rejection on the bigger trackpads.

About Brink
A free macOS menu bar app for MacBook users. Slide along the right edge of the trackpad for volume, the left for brightness and the top for keyboard light; swipe the bottom to skip a track, double-tap the corner to mute. Native HUD, haptic ticks, and the pointer stays still while you slide. Signed, notarized, universal, macOS 13+.
