Gesture Synth started as an experiment in making music feel physical: one hand picks chord shapes, the other shapes the sound. Try the Theremin mode first, then layer a four-track loop and export it as WAV or WebM. Feedback on latency, lighting, and one-handed play would be very welcome.
About Gesture Synth
Gesture Synth turns two-hand webcam gestures into a browser-based musical instrument. Left-hand chord shapes and right-hand expression controls drive chords, harmony, volume, tone and theremin pitch. It includes a four-track loop sequencer, practice songs and local WAV/WebM export. Hand tracking runs in the browser, so camera frames are not stored or uploaded. The instrument works without an account, microphone or paid subscription.
