We built HOL Guard so AI coding agents can't quietly run risky shell commands, read secrets, call unknown MCP tools, or install packages without a local policy check first. Try: pipx install hol-guard && hol-guard init, then run your agent as usual. Feedback we want: which approvals feel noisy vs. useful. Note: it's a local runtime check, not a network firewall, and scans are not a safety guarantee.
About HOL Guard
HOL Guard runs on your computer and checks what an AI coding agent is about to do (shell commands, secret reads, MCP tool calls, package installs) before it executes. You set the tool-call policy; Guard allows, blocks, or asks. Apache-2.0 core: pipx install hol-guard && hol-guard init. Optional paid Guard Cloud. Not a gateway or network firewall; scans are not a safety guarantee. Made by HOL.
