I build side projects the way most people do: an idea scattered across a notebook, a voice note on a walk, and three paragraphs typed at midnight. Then I paste a vague summary into Claude Code and spend the next three sessions arguing with it about scope. Writing a proper spec first fixes that. Writing one by hand takes an afternoon I would rather spend building. So I made nib.
