CodeHype Review 2026: Pricing, Features and Launch Experience
CodeHype is a product launch platform for AI tools, SaaS products, startups, and software products. You submit a product, it gets a permanent listing page, and launches compete for visibility through weekly rankings based on votes, comments, and recency.
The free plan costs nothing, while Plus costs $15 and Pro costs $25. There is also a separate directory submission service starting at $49.
The interesting part is that CodeHype is doing more than just running a launch leaderboard. It has built a machine-readable product catalog with llms.txt, an MCP server, OpenAPI documentation, a public API, and Markdown catalog pages.
This review covers what you actually get, how the launch process works, how the backlink system works, what the paid plans add, and where CodeHype falls short. Pricing and platform figures were checked on September 21, 2026.

What is CodeHype?
CodeHype is a product launch and discovery site focused on AI tools, SaaS products, startups, and software.
The basic model is simple: submit your product, get a permanent product page, launch it on a selected date, collect votes and comments, and compete for a position on the weekly leaderboard.
When I checked the platform on September 21, 2026, CodeHype reported 32,402 visitors for the month and 112 people online. Those numbers are displayed by CodeHype itself, so I would treat them as directional rather than independently verified traffic figures.
Week 39 had 24 launches.
The audience and product catalog are the important parts. Your launch is not limited to a single feed. The product gets its own page, while the Explore section lets visitors browse products through Trending, Newest, Most Upvoted, categories, pricing, product type, and dates.

The other thing worth paying attention to is the platform's AI infrastructure.
CodeHype publishes llms.txt, llms-full.txt, ai.txt, an MCP server, an OpenAPI specification, a public REST API, and a Markdown catalog.
It also has "Ask AI about CodeHype" links for ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Grok.
That makes the catalog unusually accessible to AI agents and automated systems. It does not, however, prove that those files will make a product rank or get cited by an AI engine. Think of it as machine-readable infrastructure rather than a guaranteed AI visibility mechanism.

How does CodeHype work?
The submission process is straightforward.
You enter your product name, tagline, logo, and website URL. There is also a "Fill with AI" option that can generate information from your website.
Free launches enter a 14-day queue. Plus and Pro let you select a launch date within the next 90 days.
Every launch still goes through human review, including paid launches.
The form has some fairly tight limits: product names can be up to 30 characters, taglines up to 140 characters, and descriptions up to 2,000 characters.
The live preview is a nice touch. You can see how the product will look on the leaderboard and product page while completing the submission instead of discovering formatting problems after publishing.

The dashboard separates launches into In Progress, Drafts, Scheduled, and Posted.
The important thing to understand is that submitting a product does not automatically mean it will receive significant visibility. The weekly rankings are driven by engagement, so founders still need to bring people to the launch.
That makes CodeHype more useful when you already have some audience, customers, community, or network you can activate around launch day.
How much does CodeHype cost in 2026?
The pricing is simple: Free, Plus, and Pro.
Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
Free | $0 | Product page, human review, 14-day queue, dofollow link while badge is verified |
Plus | $15 one-time | Scheduled launch, permanent dofollow link, premium badge, priority placement |
Pro | $25 one-time | Scheduled launch, 7 days homepage placement, featured placement, 2 additional backlinks, 1,500-word blog, priority support |
CodeHype also sells advertising:
Option | Price |
|---|---|
Homepage Center Ad | $20/week |
Homepage Sidebar Ad | $15/week |
Instagram Feature | From $250 |

The Free plan is the obvious starting point if you do not care about timing.
The $15 Plus plan is mainly about control. You skip the 14-day queue, choose a date, and remove the badge requirement from the backlink.
Pro costs only $10 more than Plus, but adds considerably more: seven days of homepage placement, featured placement, a 1,500-word article, two additional backlinks, and priority support.
For a product where launch timing matters, that extra $10 makes the Pro package substantially different from simply paying to move a listing forward.
Is the CodeHype backlink actually good?
The backlink terms are one of the more interesting parts of the platform.
The free plan provides a dofollow link from the product page while the CodeHype badge remains installed on your website. CodeHype re-checks the badge every three days.
Plus removes that requirement and gives you a permanent dofollow link.
Pro adds two additional backlinks.
The important distinction is between getting a backlink and expecting that backlink to transform your SEO.
A single directory link is not going to create a meaningful ranking strategy by itself. The value is in building a broader backlink profile while also getting a permanent product page that can be discovered through search.
The Pro package's additional backlinks and dedicated 1,500-word article therefore matter more than simply seeing the word "dofollow" in the pricing table.

What does a CodeHype launch actually get you?
There are several places where a launch can appear.
The homepage has a "Launched this week" section.
The Launches page organizes products into weekly boards. Week 39 ran from September 21 to September 27, 2026 UTC.
Products are ranked using votes, comments, and recency, with badges for the top three positions.
The Explore section provides Trending, Newest, and Most Upvoted views.

The voting numbers are relatively small compared with major product-launch communities.
When checked, the Week 39 #1 launch had 11 upvotes while #3 had 8. The previous week's winner had 27.
That means a founder with a small but active network can potentially compete for a visible position.
It also means you should not expect the leaderboard itself to generate engagement automatically.
If you launch on CodeHype, bring your first wave of visitors and votes yourself.
CodeHype Directory Submission Service
CodeHype also sells manual directory submission packages.
Package | Price | Directories |
|---|---|---|
Launch List | $49 | 20+ |
Growth List | $99 | 60+ |
Ultimate List | $149 | 100+ |
The packages include submission tracking and a report containing the resulting live links.
CodeHype publishes a "Where We Submit" list showing the directories included in the service. The published list includes platforms such as SourceForge, Capterra, DEV Community, G2, n8n Integrations, Software Advice, GetApp, Twelve Tools, and findly.tools.

There is also a published case study for findaicredits .com showing Domain Rating moving from 2 to 21 and Ahrefs Rank moving from 54.6 million to 3.5 million.
That is useful evidence of backlink-profile growth, but it should not be confused with guaranteed traffic or rankings. Domain Rating is an Ahrefs metric, not a Google metric.
The directory service makes sense if your time is more valuable than manually filling out dozens of directory forms. It makes less sense if you already have a well-maintained directory submission process.
Also check whether every directory actually fits your product. More listings are not automatically better if the platforms are irrelevant to your category.
What CodeHype does well, and where it falls short
CodeHype's strongest point is its low entry price.
What works well:
Cheap paid plans. $15 and $25 are low enough to test without a significant budget.
Permanent product page. Your launch is not limited to launch day.
Simple submission. The form is short and includes AI-assisted prefill.
Scheduled launches. Paid plans let you choose a date within 90 days.
Backlinks. Plus and Pro remove the free-plan badge requirement.
Machine-readable catalog. API, OpenAPI, MCP, Markdown and AI-agent resources are unusually comprehensive.
Directory service. The separate $49+ packages save time if you want multiple submissions handled for you.
Where it falls short:
Free queue. Fourteen days is a meaningful wait if you have a launch date.
Badge requirement. The free backlink depends on maintaining the CodeHype badge.
Small voting numbers. Weekly rankings can move with a relatively small number of votes.
Limited engagement. Many top launches have few or no comments.
Established products dominate Trending. Products such as Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT already have hundreds of upvotes.
Limited performance reporting. You should use your own analytics to measure referral traffic, signups, and conversions.
Should you launch on CodeHype?
CodeHype makes the most sense for AI tools, SaaS products, developer tools, and software startups that want a permanent product page and an inexpensive launch.
The free plan is worth testing if you can wait 14 days.
Plus is useful when you have a specific launch date and want a permanent backlink without installing a badge.
Pro is the more feature-heavy option. For $25, you get the scheduled launch plus homepage exposure, a dedicated article, extra backlinks, and priority support.
The directory submission service is worth considering separately if your main problem is the time required to submit to dozens of sites.
I would not approach CodeHype expecting one launch to generate a major traffic spike. The platform works better as a distribution and discovery asset: a product page, a launch event, potential backlinks, and another place where your software can be found.
How to get the most from CodeHype
Submit early. Use the free plan if you have no deadline because the queue is 14 days.
Write your own positioning. Use AI prefill to save time, but rewrite the important product copy yourself.
Prepare your first votes. The weekly leaderboard depends on engagement, so do not wait for CodeHype users to discover you automatically.
Choose Pro when timing matters. The additional $10 over Plus buys significantly more exposure and content.
Track referrals. Add CodeHype to your analytics and measure visits, signups, and conversions.
Review directory links. If you purchase a submission package, check the final URLs and verify that the listings are relevant.
Measure after 30 days. Look at referral traffic and backlinks rather than judging the launch only by its leaderboard position.
Wrap-up!
CodeHype is a straightforward, low-cost launch platform with more underneath it than the weekly leaderboard suggests.
The permanent product pages, $15 Plus plan, $25 Pro plan, backlink options, directory submission service, and machine-readable AI infrastructure make it useful beyond a single launch day.
Its main limitations are the free-plan waiting period, badge requirement, relatively small weekly engagement numbers, and limited native performance reporting.
If you have an AI tool, SaaS product, developer tool, or software startup, CodeHype is inexpensive enough to test without committing a large budget.
The best approach is simple: submit free if you have time, pay when launch timing matters, bring your own initial audience, and measure what happens after the launch rather than judging the platform by votes alone.
Launch on CodeHype today.
